Ingredients:
10 slices firm bread, in slices or cubed
8 ounces of cream cheese, cubed or softened
10 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup of syrup
2 cups of milk (or mixture of half and half, cream and milk equaling two cups)
Fruit, your preference ? strawberries, peaches, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries etc.
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
Whipped cream-optional
Directions:
Butter 9x13 baking dish. Layer half of bread slices or cubed pieces. Cover with cream cheese, either by spreading on bread slices or layering cubed cream cheese pieces, and then layer your choice of fruit.
Cover with remaining bread. Blend eggs, milk, syrup, cinnamon and vanilla, and pour over bread; cover and refrigerate overnight. Preheat oven, and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes to one hour. Let cool for 5 minutes, then serve. Top with whipped cream, if desired.

Sounds like a great recipe to use that bag of raspberries I froze last summer. Thanks for sharing.

Good question. When I make french toast, I let it set about 20 to 30 minutes before cooking.

I would say fresh, and as for how much - whatever fits or as little as you like.

Sounds good. Think I'll try using a mixture of fruit.
