Answer to yesterday's trivia question:
Jan. 5 is National Bird Day and the bald eagle is the United States national bird. The bald eagle appears on the Seal of the President of the United States clutching thirteen arrows and a thirteen-leaf olive branch. In 1784, Benjamin Franklin criticized the choice and thought the Wild Turkey would be a better national bird because it was more representative of American qualities. The bald eagle was once on the Endangered Species list yet was removed in June 2007.
